The Urban Mobility Observatory (UMO) project has the aim to archive existing and new data on traffic, transport and mobility and make these data available for researchers, public authorities and practitioners. This is urgent, as understanding and managing the fast developments in the transportation field demand data. In addition to existing data sources, UMO collects new data, e.g. through sensors, a panel and a Virtual Reality environment. Both new data collection methods and existent data sources are GDPR compliant, so privacy of participants is respected.
Partners in the project are TU Delft (consortium leader), TU Eindhoven, VU Amsterdam, University Utrecht, University Twente, RU Groningen, AMS Institute and CWI. The UMO project has been funded by NWO.
