‘Hotspot Twente’ exists of different mobility related projects in the University Library of the University of Twente. The hotspot focuses om indoor mobility and consists of different projects: collaborations with educational programmes of the UT, with tech companies such as Let Things Talk and with researchers of the TU/e. The goal is to create a ‘smart library’ resulting in better crowd management and optimalisation of space. The hotspot is also a space to experiment with gathering the data. Comparing different types of sensors for occupancy data (UT students), but also validating the models used for pedestrian trajectories (TU/e researchers).
